The concept of GUARDIANT grew from an experience when a student injured themselves while on their school camp, in a remote area of Victoria, Australia. The child needed medical attention, which was over an hour away, and needed adults to transport and wait with them in the Emergency Department.

When they finally arrived at the Emergency Departments, the student and supervising adults had to wait in for more than 4 hours for treatment. Meanwhile back at the camp, the student / teacher ratios were no longer being met and the rest of the students were missing out on camp activities.

With GUARDIANT the student could have been seen and treated by an experienced Practitioner within the hour. No one would have needed to leave the camp for any length of time and there would be minimal disruption to planned activities.
